The
same lasting philosophy is what has made W•D Flooring the
company it is today. As pioneers in the lumber and
flooring industry since 1872, W•D selectively harvests from
a revolving, growing stock, carefully protecting the
sustainability of our more than 40,000 acres of majestic
hardwoods. But it's the long winters and short growing seasons
of Wisconsin that give our floors their uniquely
"northern" characteristics.
Tighter
grain, lasting durability.
When
you choose a hardwood floor, it's sure to be appreciated for
generations. But when you choose a W•D floor, you know it
already has a few generations under its belt.
History
of W•D Flooring
The
history of W•D Flooring, LLC, like the durability of its
products, is one that spans generations. The story dates back
to the pioneering years of 1872 and the
Great-Great-Grandfather of today's W•D Flooring president
Peter Connor, Robert Connor. The Connor family has been
providing hardwood flooring from its sustainably managed
hardwood forests ever since W. D. Connor led the world in the
practice of sustainable forestry in the early 1900s.
Environmental
Statement
Today
the Connors own and manage over 40,000 acres of the finest
